ZOOM MESSAGES

Keila : Thanks Dona, for always being so kind and thoughtful, thanks for being a safe haven and listening, thanks for sharing… you will always remain in my heart, and I will honor you by being as kind to others as you always were to me… Thanks for living fully and whole heartedly ♥️

Evelyne Berman: Dear Family, I met Donna many years ago when I started at El Camino college. She was so welcoming to me. She knew I was nervous but took the time to make me feel welcome. Throughout the years, she remained the same warm and caring Donna I grew to know and deeply respect and love. As we finished our careers and during the pandemic, she welcomed us in her backyard and continued to laugh and care for all of us despite her own daunting medical issues. I think of her often and she will stay in my heart as long as I live. She was a splendid human being and will be greatly missed. Evelyne Berman

ANITA JACKSON: Donna welcomed me into the Neptunian's women's group at my first luncheon. Afterwards, we had so many fun times walking along the Strand and various other journeys in our group of walkers, chatting over coffee afterwards. She always had a twinkle in her eye, gave love to every dog that passed by and was such a joy to be around. Cancer stole a bright light way too soon.

Jay: I met Donna through my late aunt Ann Kesslen, who also worked at El Camino with Evelyne. In my numerous trips out to San Pedro to visit Ann, Donna always was around, bringing over food, offering to give Ann a ride or just enjoying time with her friend. It was a beautiful friendship to watch and reminded me of the power of the human spirit and the kindness that comes with it. I had the fortune to continue that relationship with Donna after Ann's passing, visiting Donna in her beautiful home in Manhattan Beach (Max too!) and enjoying many meals in NYC on her trips to NYC with her late friend Pat. Donna and I shared a birthday and I'll think of her on that day and surely many others when I reminded of that selfless human spirit. Jay Kesslen
